It was last week of July, 2015. I was in class twelve in Cumilla Cadet College. On Thursday evening I saw a very exciting movie based on a science fiction. The journey through space, the thrill, the horror and the role of the hero ‘Jack’ – everything was breathtaking. After watching the film I had my supper and went to bed. But I could not sleep. The whole film seemed to rewind and came before my eyes as a flashback. I was wondering if I could travel to some unknown planet for at least once. Jack, the brave and highly intelligent character, can only make such a journey possible. I imagined myself with him and some members of the crew in a spaceship travelling among the stars. Then I thought it was quite impossible. At one stage I saw a flashing light that dazzled my eyes. In a moment I saw a man coming out of the light and talking to me. I began to think if I was in a dream. To make sure, I rubbed my eyes and pinched on my right hand. So, I was not dreaming and Jack stood before me. He told me everything I had in my mind. This surprised me. Then he offered me to accompany him, of course if I wished. I was very excited and told him to set out for the journey. In a few minutes he brought me a spacesuit and other necessary equipments. Without wasting any time we entered a space craft. Jack asked me to fasten my seat belt and started the engine. In a few moments, I saw myself moving away from the earth. Our rocket passed through many strange matters in the space. It was a very enjoyable journey. The red planet Mars began to grow big. When our spacecraft touched down on Mars, I was amazed to see the soil. However, we rested in our craft for that day. Walking on the surface of Mars was quite difficult, because there were craters, hills and stiff rocks. Looking up at the sky I could see the earth very small. I began to think of my parents, relatives, friends and others. As I became unmindful, I slipped into a crater! I tried to shout for help – “Jack! Jack!”
But no one came to help me. Suddenly there was a loud noise and I heard our House Prefect Riyazul knocking at the door and shouting –
“It’s already eight o’clock and you are still in bed! It’s breakfast time, get up!”
